A fine example of this map of Lincolnshire, published the year Charles I reignited the Civil War by negotiating an invasion of England by the Scots. It is decorated with a pillar of armorials of the local nobles (including John of Gaunt), two Royal crests and a title cartouche with two putti holding a pair of compasses and a rule.
