A little wear to case, unidentified collector's blind stamp under title of map.

A detailed map of Europe, reduced from a 50-sheet map published by Jean Baptiste de Bouge (1757-1833) in 1798. Although Belgium is delineated in colour, the engraving still describes it as the southern part of the Netherlands despite seceding in 1830.
This example, published four years after Bouge's death, is dedicated to Willem I of the Netherlands, who abdicated in 1840 in order to marry a Belgian Catholic.
