Fine double-hemisphere map of the world engraved by G. Rollos, showing four figures of different cultures in the vignettes and a decorated title. The map includes the trade winds as well as the dates of various discoveries in North America and Australia, which is named New Holland or Terra Australis. The explorers named are Martin d'Aguilar (1603), Francis Drake (1579) and Tchirikov & De L'Isle (1741). Also mentioned are the discoveries of Van Diemen's Land (current Tasmania) in 1642 and 'Arctic Circle Land discovered by the Russians in 1732'.
